Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to research and education that advances the care of patients with musculoskeletal injuries and disorders.

The VSON Research and Education Foundation relies solely on external financial support to fund all Foundation efforts. Contributions are tax-deductible and directly support efforts to improve treatment outcomes and provide the best orthopaedic care possible for our mountain community-based patients through investigation, innovation, education, and collaboration.

The VSON Research and Education Foundation conducts clinical research studies with the goal of understanding how to improve patient outcomes. Our comprehensive research program spans all sub-specialties: hand, foot, ankle, knee, hip, spine, elbow, shoulder, sports medicine, and regenerative medicine. 

Medical Education

The VSON Research and Education Foundation offers live and virtual educational opportunities for physicians, medical students, athletic trainers, and fellows, designed to develop, enhance, and maintain knowledge, skills, and professional performance in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine care.

Community Outreach

High-quality, comprehensive care extends beyond our clinic doors. The VSON Research and Education Foundation cultivates and maintains community relationships by continuously exploring opportunities to contribute time, services, and equipment to the communities served by our physicians, staff, and medical partners.
